About the Course

The Level 3 AET is the nationally recognised first step for anyone looking to teach or train in further education, workplace learning, or adult education. Whether you’re completely new to teaching or you already deliver training and want a recognised qualification, this course gives you the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to succeed. Through flexible self-paced learning, you’ll explore: ✔️Your role and responsibilities as a teacher/trainer. ✔️How to create engaging lesson plans and schemes of work. ✔️Inclusive teaching strategies that meet different learning needs. ✔️How to assess learners fairly and effectively. ✔️Professionalism and quality assurance in education. The Level 3 AET has approximately 48 hours of study time which includes research and assessment time. This takes approximately 120 hours to complete. You can choose how you wish to divide these hours. You may wish to complete the course in a matter of weeks or spread it over the entire twelve months.

How It Works

Fully online and self-paced: Learn anywhere, anytime, with no strict deadlines. Your hours can be divided over a 12-month period or the course can be completed in a matter of weeks. It is up to you!  Tutor-supported: You’ll have direct access to Aaron, your assessor, who will guide you and provide clear, constructive feedback. Assignments with personalised support: Each assignment is marked as Pass or Needs More Info, with advice to help you progress. Engaging resources: Videos, templates, examples, and activities to make learning practical and relevant.

Course Content

UNIT NO 1 Understanding the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training. This introductory unit helps you to understand the introduction of teaching including health and safety, equal opportunities and the other professionals you may have to work with. UNIT NO 2 Understanding and using inclusive learning and teaching approaches in education and training. This unit helps you to understand how people learn, the ways in which people communicate and how to use a range of different teaching methods and resources to help you meet your learners’ individual needs. UNIT NO 3 Understanding assessment in education and training. This unit includes understanding the types and methods of assessment used in education and training, how to involve learners and others in the assessment process and the role and use of constructive feedback in the assessment process.
